I'm Director of Gaia Community; I have the honor of creating the space in which this vast experiment unfolds, and I'm very glad you're here.
A little more about me? Very well. I trust uncertainty, don't care for irony, and believe that truths are necessarily paradoxical.
I'm obsessed with systems thinking, the ongoing process of community, open space technology, and the chaos of wonder in each unique human mind. I want to know what's alive in you, and I believe life is an infinite game.
My background lies in tranpersonal psychology, communties of practice, capacity building, and facilitation of all sorts, but these days I tend to spend my free time writing, wandering, reading, and (best of all) wrapped in conversation with new friends and old strangers. I keep another blog here.
What else? I can't say much more without coming across as a paragon of contradiction: I'm a mystic who relishes the body, and an existentialist who lives and breathes God. I'm an intellectual allergic to systemization, and an skittish wilding who thrives online. I'm a hopeless academic who values compassion over intellect, and a critical thinker who suspects, frequently, that the mind is the most delightfully imbalanced instrument of all.
And I believe that all of this could very well be wrong. :)
