who around you do you consider wise?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 10, 2009:
This is one of those questions where I'd rather show you, than tell, my answer.
I'd rather take you by the hand and lead you outside, away from your computer, away from any pressures, away from any troubling stories or news or worries or concerns, and into a more timeless world of seasons and cycles and peace.
I'd rather dance with you to somewhere still and quiet, deep into a sun-dappled forest, weaving through trees, where the only sounds are birdsong, and the rustling of branches and the rhythm of our footsteps.
I'd rather discover with you a lake, still and blue and calm, with a warm and smooth expanse of rock leading out into it.
I'd rather we both make our way out on this natural bridge, to lie on our bellies with our hands trailing into the water, and I'd rather point to your reflection, to you—and not just any you, but you when you feel the most relaxed and trusting and happy and comfortable, and you when you feel most loved.

Help

Holding onto that, when we get back to the computers, politics, cancer, factions, TV, technology failures, …. That's the trick that I only sometimes manage.
I do usually manage a 3 or 5 day tramp into the wild at least once a year. Every day gives me this view http://www.fishnet.co.nz/ted/kk.htm when I look up from the computer - which helps.

I like this post…thank you Siona.
Namaste.
Thank you, Ted, and RLtruthseeker-artist.
Ted–your view is incredible. I'm glad you could share. :)
What a lovely answer! This answer is like pointing at the moon. It contains it all. I would like to sit next to you, Siona, by that lake, or maybe even a river, and we could dangle our hands in and feel the cold of it and draw in our breaths because the cold would momentarily shock us. Wait a minute. You said it was a warm lake. Hmmm, OK. Trying to remember what a warm lake feels like…oh yes. That. Quit splashing! Yep, feeling the love. Everywhere all around.
Oh, Centria… thank you for coming by. And the lake could be ice cold; I just wanted the rock we'd be lying on to be sun-warmed and comfortable. :)
One day, yes? We'll splash. Perhaps somewhere we already are.
I've just come from the city, having had to run errands that weren't on my schedule this morning. I turned on the news, about a bad a habit as I've got (well, not the worst!) and listening to the day's distractions and disasters with one ear, started checking e-mail. Why I have brought the noisy world into my house on television I don't know. Reading your answer was like an antidote to the crazy traffic, crazier drivers and non-stop frustration. It's 96 degrees here and that's not even the heat index or I would be down to the creek in the pasture to wet my feet and play with the minnows. Thanks for the cooling, peaceful walk in the woods, it has done my soul a world of good.
sandi: You're so welcome! What a joy to have you here, too, and to see how wise your own beloved soul is. And if you have the power to bring the noisy world into your home, well, you certain have the ability to bring the quiet and wonderful world in, too. It's beautiful. :)
Thanks for another beautifully poetic posting! And don't forget to look at your own reflection in the water.
Hugs,
Marc
what they all said … and how much I appreciate you and the walk through the wisdom of all that exists in nature … including us - thanks
I would look at the reflection …of you.
This indescribably beautiful prose poem is so refreshing, dear Siona.
Wonderful answer. :-)
Spoken like the true Gaia Goddess and mother of the earth that you are, Siona. Care to dance?
All of the above. You nourish us in so many different ways, Siona, in this community. My whole Being chooses to gather up all in the Universe that would nourish YOU in turn, and pour it all over you and through you!!!
Love, OM Bastet
Ah, to splash my face in this water. To know that I am part of this river…a part of this process…eternally flowing…feels cool and refreshing.
Marc and barbara and Meenakshi and heemes and Gabby1 and OM and RLtruthseeker-artist: We're so lucky, all of us. I'm so glad you're here.
Beautiful Siona!
Wow! That is so beautiful and wise, Siona! :)
I read this as lets just share and enjoy all that IS,and where there is love and trust, there is wisdom, no need for other wise ones - we are all blessed with an inner wisdom. Beautiful blog Siona.
I'm bookmarking this.
“into a more timeless world of seasons and cycles and peace”
Did you know that if you take a sheet of paper and tape the ends together to form a cylinder, you can stand it up and place books on top of it? The power of the circle. :)
