what's your guiding question?

Posted on Jun 12th, 2008 by Siona : Synchronicity Coordinator Siona
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 06, 2008:

In that past my question has always been in flux.

It's changed depending on where I was and what I was doing and the shifting space of my insecurities and concerns. And it's generally been characterized by anxiety.

Questions no longer make me anxious. (But this is, perhaps, quite obvious; I get to pose a new one here each morning. My daily question, then, is "What is today's question? What will I ask today?") I love how they open doors, and love how they focus attention, and love how they include wonder. I love their power.

So in the past my guiding questions have changed, all circling anxiously around the usual existential concerns of "why... why... why...?", and it's funny to realize, now, that my deeper question, for some time now, has been steady. What am I called to? I love this question because it requires stillness, and listening, and attention. I love this question because it speaks to possibility. I love this question because it reminds me to be open.

And I wonder what my next guiding question will be.

Siona,

So you ARE the question poser here at Gaia! What a fun aspect if your director job i imagine that to be!

I just wrote to tell you that last night at 9 pm EST, I was sending Reiki to Lars as this was asked for by our community. Well, I kept gettign blocked and then you popped up and I realized it was you I needed to do some Reiki around. (I didnt send it directly as it is best practice to get the blessings of the receiver first) Once I did Reike re. you and me, I was able to go right into a nice healing sesssion for Lars. I did feel a nudge toward sending you some light…so i let light do its own thing!
Love, light and laughter too,

Mary

My *daily* question is generally “What do I want to do today?”. I notice I ask that to myself most mornings, before I get up.

Another question that comes up, more often when I'm depressed, but still lurking there is “What am I doing on this planet?”. I.E. “What does it all mean?”. But I notice if I'm happy day to day I ask that question less, and just let the answer unfold.

My guiding commnet is:

What does the world need from me!

Thinking this way has changed everything and I am now much more focused, happy and connected.

Yeah, I like your response. It’s so open and truthful. Questions in life are always changing. So, we change with it. We shouldn’t feen the questions and things we don’t understand in life. We should just adapt and be content. I don’t know if that’s what you meant, but that’s what I got out of it and it was inspiring.
