Most fundamentally, it's the same as everyone else's: being my most authentic self, challenging my beliefs and holding my mind open, striving to engage with everyone I meet from a place of love and respect and compassion, and learning to listen, always and always, to the call of my own heart.

As the Director of the Gaia Community, I hold the space here. I facilitate the balance between the needs of the business and the desires and passions and spirit of the community that lives within, communicate our shared vision both inside and outside the site, and serve, in so many ways, as the voice of Gaia. I'm unbearably lucky; the responsibility involved in all this is balanced beautifully by the joy.

Can I say 'everything'? I love everyone I work with: I love their passion and inspiration and sweet ability to see challenges as opportunities and problems as possibilities. I love this community: I love the sweet humanness of each person drawn to this place and the feeling of being a part of a group committed not just to rich dialog and deep connection, but to support and joy and creativity and love rather than negativity or cynicism or fear. I love what I do: from writing here and being in the community to collaborating with Dave and Jason to the site planning and prioritizing and day-to-day business minutia, I feel as though I learn something every day.
