It's the winter solstice, and I'm mindful of the weight of the planet, and the emergence from darkness, and, too, the pull of the end of the year. And so, in the spirit of that, I'm sharing a poem.
Drink Your Tea.
Drink your tea slowly and reverently,
as if it is the axis
on which the world earth revolves -
slowly, evenly, without
rushing toward the future;
live the actual moment.
Only this is life.
