I'm obsessed with systems thinking, the process of community, open space technology, and the brilliant beauty of individual subjectivities. Presence capitvates me; I take solace, and delight, in the intensity of immediate experience. I'm enthralled by complexity and I'm fascinated by people.

I'm Director of the Gaia Community; I have the great honor of helping to holding the vision for our collective future. (I also work in the areas of business development, community building, media relations, and corporate communications. And, of course, I write.)

My weekends are occassionally taken with my organizational development, community building, and facilitation work, which you can learn about at my web site. More often than not, though, I can be found wandering or reading or wrapped up in rapt conversation with new friends or old strangers.

What else? I can't say much more without coming across as a paragon of contradiction: I'm a mystic who relishes the body and a staid atheist who lives and breathes God; an integrally-influenced thinker who shies from systemization and a radical ecologist who thrives online; an incorrigible academic who values compassion over intellect and a critical thinker who believes love is the ultimate criterion of truth. 

And I believe that all this could very well be wrong.
